Unheralded but happy to be a Tar Heel

William Graves isn't the recruit who pushed North Carolina's 2006 basketball class to a No. 1 ranking from the recruiting services. Actually, the Dudley senior was the first to commit -- and least heralded -- of the talent-rich six-player group that made it official Wednesday, the first day of the fall signing period. One thing he has going for him that the other five signees do not: He's local. When Graves put his name to a national letter of intent, he carried the banner for the 82 percent of UNC students who pay in-state tuition. (Greensboro News & Record)
