Dascenzo: Duke-UNC? Not what it used to be

The Duke-UNC football rivalry isn't dead, it just seems that way. Heck, the last time this game meant anything was in 1994, a rare year when Duke had a good team and actually could have secured a bid to play in the Cotton Bowl if the Blue Devils could beat the Tar Heels. Fred Goldsmith, in his first season as Duke's coach, watched his team lose 41-40 at Wallace Wade Stadium. It was the first of five straight losses Goldsmith suffered to the Heels.
