Baker turns tables on frustration

Thursday, November 17, 2005

After North Carolina's 34-16 loss to Miami on Oct. 29, coach John Bunting decided to huddle with quarterback Matt Baker. Instead of meeting in the football office, he invited Baker to his house for dinner. Dawn Bunting served steak, crab cakes, potatoes and salad; her husband served food for thought. The Tar Heels' offense had been struggling and coach Bunting sensed anxiety building in Baker, a senior in his first season as a starter. (Raleigh News & Observer)
