Heels show their youth, potential

With a team that lost 99 percent of its scoring and 78 percent of its rebounding from last year’s national championship season, UNC is bound to have more ups and downs than a journeyman ballplayer bouncing back and forth between the major and minor leagues. But this much can be said without the slightest bit of hesitation: If the Tar Heels continue to play with the energy, spunk and heart they showed against No. 12 Illinois, they’re going to win a lot more games than they lose.
