UNC recruit is suspended by prep team
Posted Dec 8, 2005
North Carolina men's basketball signee Tywon Lawson is serving a suspension for violation of school policy at Oak Hill Academy (Ala.) that will end Monday, Oak Hill coach Steve Smith said Thursday. Lawson will miss seven games because of the suspension. Smith would not divulge the reason for the suspension. "We're a boarding school and it's not something we want to discuss," Smith said. "If he was in public school it probably wouldn't be a blip on the radar. But we have rules and policies."
