Mason’s loss hurts all concerned

Unfortunately, Mason has not realized his potential in three years as a player for UNC. He’s had moments, but not nearly enough of them. Now he’s out and his future as a pro is in jeopardy. What must be frustrating for Bunting and his staff is everyone loses in a case such as this. After getting through the fall without additional attrition, UNC has now taken another huge hit, and it hurts in the practical manner of who will play the position next fall. The onslaught of negative publicity is also damaging. (Chapel Hill News)
