Tar Heels rattled in loss to Trojans

North Carolina faced a mirror image of itself Wednesday night, an image that made the 2005 NCAA champions crack. Southern California used 17th-ranked UNC’s style to dominate the second half en route to a 74-59 victory at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. The loss was UNC’s most one-sided in Roy Williams’ tenure at Chapel Hill, and the margin of defeat was the largest for the Tar Heels since a 75-60 loss at Wake Forest on March 5, 2003, in Matt Doherty’s final season.
