Marcus Ginyard knew there were better shooters, more polished ball-handlers and better rebounders. So he discovered another way to crack the starting lineup as a high school freshman. Play defense. Four years later, the 6-foot-5 guard has used the same philosophy at North Carolina. Ginyard is beginning to earn a reputation as the defensive stopper for the defensive-minded Tar Heels just 12 games into his college career.
