Reveling in women's Tobacco Road rivalry
Posted Jan 28, 2006
Various "Homers" have written their own "Iliads" about the Duke-North Carolina rivalry in men's basketball. But there are some great tales of the Blue Devil-Tar Heel feud on the women's side, too. They'll meet Sunday night at 7 ET (ESPN2) in Cameron Indoor Stadium, which for the second time in a week will be the sold-out site of a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup. The media poll hasn't had a chance to reflect Monday's 22-point Duke victory over Tennessee, but the coaches' poll has. So this time, it's No. 1 Duke vs. No. 2 North Carolina. Band-aids probably required.
