A certainty of life

Think about this: Fifty-one times a Clemson basketball team has traveled to Chapel Hill; 51 times the Tigers’ have lost. The streak defies reason. “We should have gotten this monkey off our backs long ago,” says Bobby Conrad, Clemson’s starting point guard in the 1978-79 and 1979-80. Indeed, the streak has taken a life of its own and the debate has shifted among the Tigers. (The State)
