Hansbrough's high school coach nears 1,000 victories

There's something special about basketball in this southeast Missouri town these days. People are proud of a young man who is already turning heads in his freshman year of college, Tyler Hansbrough. They're proud of their two-time state champion high school basketball team. The proudest moment could come Saturday. Gene Bess is on the verge of becoming the first collegiate coach to reach 1,000 wins. (Charlotte Observer)
