It’s so sticky in Chapel Hill, sweaty baseballs are thrown out of play

Time and time again baseballs were tossed out of play and replaced with another one during Sunday’s NCAA super regional at Boshamer Stadium in Chapel Hill. It was an apparent case of a sweaty umpire. It began early, with Tar Heels starting pitcher Austin Bergner asking permission to receive new baseballs on an almost regular basis on a humid day.
