Loss is why Sendek's no fan favorite

One State fan held up a homemade banner in the arena early in the game Wednesday. The banner said, "Welcome to the Herb Garden," and no, I'm not kidding. But the guy never showed the banner in the second half. Understandably. The Tar Heels took a lawn mower through the "Herb Garden" Wednesday. They plowed through all that parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme, and every State fan knew it. (Charlotte Observer)
