Roy Williams says his aching back must improve before golf begins
Sat Feb 25, 2006
Coach Roy Williams of North Carolina is at least uncomfortable during every game and practice because of a lingering back problem. Williams' back went out before a Dec. 7 game at home, and he had to coach against Saint Louis leaning against a bar stool. The problem has now affected the sciatic nerve and bothers him every day, although he said that the condition has improved.
