Tar Heels better than advertised

You know how it works in these parts. You love North Carolina or you love to beat North Carolina. This season was supposed to be a reward for the fans who love to beat the men's basketball team at North Carolina. After the four best players from the 2004-05 national champions left for the NBA, the Tar Heels appeared vulnerable and young. It turns out they were merely young. They are 18-6 overall, 9-4 in the ACC, have won seven of their past eight and are favored to beat Maryland in Chapel Hill today.
