After 20 years of chasing the next college job, Scott Cherry happy to have landed at Briarcrest

When Scott Cherry’s coaching tenure ended at High Point University last season, some soothsayers might have seen Tubby Smith resurrecting his alma mater in High Point, North Carolina. What no one could have seen was that Smith and Cherry would trade hometowns. Cherry played on UNC's 1993 championship team, played in Cyprus for a season, then sold forklifts for three years.
