Latta's injury takes spark out of Heels

With her entire face contorted into an impossibly large grimace, North Carolina's Ivory Latta was carried off the TD Banknorth Garden court with 12:24 remaining in the first half on Sunday night. Her left knee had buckled moments earlier when she landed awkwardly after leaping for the basketball. In the literal sense, she returned less than two minutes later. In the figurative sense, she never did.
