UNC's Latta sorry for stumbling
Posted Apr 3, 2006
In the middle of a devastated and angry locker room, Ivory Latta looked at her team and apologized. Apologized for the 81-70 loss to Maryland. Apologized for her 14-point effort. Apologized for not getting them there. In one of the biggest games of her life, North Carolina's All-America point guard couldn't get the job done. With the loss, the top-ranked Tar Heels' season ended in the NCAA semifinals in TD Banknorth Garden.
